There are many people who think they are wealthy and are not. We’ve seen the television series “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.” Most times it should be called “Lifestyles of the Rich and Foolish.” When is a rich man poor? When he tries to find satisfaction in his money. Solomon, one of the wisest (and richest) men who ever lived, said, “He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver” (Ecclesiastes 5:10).

Wealth is a very subjective term, Jim. Who is wealthier, a man with nothing but $100 and perfect health or a man with a million dollars that has to live in a wheelchair?
ReplyDeleteIn my humble opinion, wealth should refer to all areas of your life: health, finances, spirituality, relationship, etc. In order to be truly happy, most need some degree of success in all areas. However, extremes in one area usually lead to shortcomings in another.
